Finally Made it To the Top!

Okay, I probably would have chose an easier route, but Candy talked about doing the Colbert Half so I wanted her to see how hard it is to go up the backside of Greenbluff.  We made it to the top in an hour and a half and down in 12 minutes.  But I got to add it to the list to top off the fifty by fifty.
Thanks Candy!

I DID IT! Fifty by Fifty!

Thanks to all my friends and family I made it to my goal! Fifty by Fifty in a year.  Last night I had a blast with celebrating our success with some of my closest friends.  I missed Sabrina, she was such a big part of this year.  We will definitely have to redo the cooking class!  Christy that was awesome!  LOVE the aprons.

Sunday Night Dinners

I love Sunday Night Dinners!  When the boys and their significant other comes to dinner.  Last Sunday we had a fire in the fire pit. Love spending time with them.  I wish Jacquee and Chris were closer so they could join us.

The Baby Board is finished!

Thanks to Claudine, the baby board is finished.  She also made him the cutest pair of baby moccasins.

Battle of the Bell

Well, it didn't go so well for Mt. Spokane.  They held their own until the fourth quarter and then the wheels on the bus fell off.  Mead is ranked second in the state this year and they have a player that has verbally agreed to go to Notre Dame, so Mt. Spokane should be proud that they held the lead for most of the game.

Wow! I'm really a grandma!

Like I said before this has been a year of milestones.  I am the proud grandma of a beautiful little boy.  Cooper is really here.  He made is grand entry on September 16th at 7:02 a.m. weighing 7 pounds 14 ounces and 19.5 inches long.  I will save the details for Jacquee and Chris to share, but I just have to say Chris and Jacquee are truly soul mates.  Cooper is so lucky to have such wonderful parents.  He is in for an amazing life.

Fun Filled Weekend!

Four events in one weekend.  Saturday started with the Color Vibe and that night I went to the fair with Janie and Sheri and then took in the rodeo.

Spokefest

Spokefest is starting to become a tradition with our gang.  It was a smaller group for us this year just Mary, Christy, and I, but the ride is huge now.  Over 2,000 riders!  So well organized though, so you felt comfortable during the ride.  Candy was a trooper and joined me this year.  She went out the night before and purchased a bike to ride.  It took her a little while to get the gears down and she popped  the chain twice, but by midway she had it down and there was no stopping her.  I was pretty excited that I made it up Doomsday hill without stopping.  Not a small feat since it is at the end of the ride.
The matching outfits were not planned but kind of fun:)

Color Vibe Check!

Okay I'll have to admit I liked the other name better, Graffiti Me, but it was still a blast.  I would love to do the Warrior Dash or one of the other fun obstacle/mud run.  I think it would be fun.  I'm not sure how people with breathing conditions can do this kind of run.  Lots of dust in the air.  I wish I had worn a white shirt that I could have treated and tried to save, but I have these great pictures to capture the memories.  Candy thanks for the weekend!

Pre and Post race:)

25th Year of Teaching

This was a big year in my life.  Thirty years of marriage, twenty-five years of teaching and I turn fifty.  I wanted to embrace each event one at a time and enjoy the moment because one thing I have learned is life passes quickly.
Teaching is one of the best aspects of my life.  It keeps me on my toes and I love the challenge of trying to raising my expectations of myself.  Trying to be the best I can be and still be the person I want to be with my kids.
With the help of my wonderful friend Eugenia, I have one of my favorite set ups this year.  She sewed the cushions and pillows for my couch.  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!

Girl's Night at the Chaffin's(plus Joey) was a huge success!

Jen is the best!  We had a great time at Jen's house last night!  She made the most amazing dinner, the girls spent the night in the pool and Joey made us a great fire!  Thanks Jen and Joey!
Joe made us a wonderful fire:)

Jen is the best!  She made sure we were well fed!
 Just enjoying the moment:)

Good friends, good food and good times! What else can anyone ask for?
I have the best friends in the world!

Mary's Night

Love Mary's new cob oven!  She invited the girls over for delicious cob oven pizza and cobbler:)

What a great night!

30 years together!

Yikes!  Kyle and I have been together for 30 years.  August 21, 2012 is thirty years from the day I walked down the isle with Kyle.  We spent the day in the style of the secret to our success.  Keeping things simple...we went to Applebees and had the two for twenty.  It was kind of funny.  Kyle told me to pick the appetizer, so I narrowed it down to two hot wings or onion rings.  He chose onion rings and I proceeded to order mozzarella sticks.  It is all about compromises.  Love this man.

Peaches Anyone?

Eugenia, Carole and I went to Greenbluff and picked the most delicious peaches!  It was a beautiful morning and we had a blast.  I picked a box full of peaches and froze most of them for some smoothies this winter.  I did manage to make a couple of cobblers with some of the peaches.  Kyle ate quite a few, but I will still have a couple gallons for this winter:)

Can't wait to go back for the perfect pumpkin!
